Sir Mike's and the Folks Poetry

 Campus Life

I'm in class ,but out of my mind,

I'm following lectures but I'm blind,

I'm dreaming of an act of it's kind,

Because I need a heart that's kind.

To the brim,I'm filled with tears

When I remember those years

I'm engulfed in fears,

I'm more often from my peers hears,

How their lives are full of cheers,

How they attend drinking spree of beers,

Yes,I daily hears, but filled with tears.

Because our economic status can't bring cheers,

I pinch my ears,

But I thank God for the beatings of my heart,

I'm leaving lectures for my small hut,

To go and concentrate on my own work of art,

My source of livelihood is craft,

That's where my happiness I extract,

How unimaginable is that,

In my hut,I own nothing but a cat,

Because of poverty,I can't even chat,

But only pat at the cat,

At least I have a pet,

Which can't survive without a rat,

But I always give it a pat.

But I hope,

Just like a pope,

That this won't be a dream pipe (d).

That all shall be well.
